YOUNG AUTHORS: Write Your First Book is a self-paced creative-writing course designed specifically for aspiring writers ages 12–17 who are ready to move beyond writing exercises and begin thinking—and working—like authors.

This isn't a childish writing course with harder worksheets added.

Young writers are introduced to genuine storytelling craft in an accessible, practical way.

They'll learn how to develop a promising idea into a book-worthy concept, create psychologically believable characters, understand motivation and character arcs, build a strong plot, plan chapters, construct purposeful scenes, write authentic dialogue and subtext, develop author voice, explore theme and symbolism, create emotional depth, finish a first draft, revise systematically, evaluate feedback, and prepare a polished manuscript for readers.

Students may pursue fiction, creative nonfiction, or poetry, allowing them to develop a project that reflects the writer they are becoming.

But there's one goal underneath everything:

FINISH THE BOOK.

Because young writers don't need another folder full of abandoned beginnings.
