In a seemingly normal day at The Blessing International School for Gifted Girls, Binta Bature is lured into a trap and kidnapped by unknown men.

At first, it seemed it was because she was the daughter of Nasir Bature, a renowned medical doctor, who owned and ran the largest hospital in Kaduna, along with his wife Hadiza, who was also renowned as one of the best paediatricians in Africa. However, the kidnapper only requested for rent money. Nasir and Hadiza are confused as they had no rented property.

It soon becomes clear that the kidnappers are sent by Hauwa Dauke’s landlord, Danjuma, who thinks taking Hauwa would definitely force Ishaya a bricklayer and Hauwa’s father, and Rahama, a fura seller, her mother, to find the rent money they owe on their one-room accommodation. The kidnappers, Tijani and Sidi, do not realize they have the wrong girl, and as the police wade in, Nasir and Hadiza find out who Hauwa and Ishaya are. Nasir decides to give the money to Ishaya just so the kidnappers can release Binta.

However, Garba, a local thug discovers the kidnappers have the wrong girl and informs Danjuma in exchange for favours. Danjuma apprises the kidnappers the deal has changed and puts a ransom money on Binta. But Tijani and Sidi already took Binta to the point where she will be exchanged. On getting the new order, they take Binta back just as the police are about to receive her.

What will happen next as the kidnappers now know they can make a lot of money by holding Binta.

Hauwa offers herself to be held instead, but the kidnappers refuse. There is a new challenge, and Tijani and Sidi get greedy, compromising not only the operation but putting in danger Binta, her parents, Hauwa and her friends who decide to take matters into their own hands.
